Rustic romance in the mountains                                                                                                   See The Web Version

Mountains and winter always seem like the most magical combination to me. Cosying up with fires, mulled wine and hot chocolate, snuggling up with cosy blankets and the brittle cold outside as the sun sets. And it was this very magic that drew Emily & Paul to the Blue Mountains for their stunning winter wedding.

With Deb Boots behind the camera, the pair set about planning their own personalised day, one that celebrated the season with all of its rustic charms, with just their closest family and friends present.

Emily and Paul chose the beautiful Seclusions Blue Mountains as their setting, the  Blue Mountains country farm providing just enough cosy log cabin accommodation for their favourite people and plenty of winter-fied touches - including, the most important, gas log fires!

The bride, dressed in a beautiful long sleeve gown from Perfect Day Bridal was dolled up by hair and makeup artist Paul Bedggood and joined by her bridesmaids in navy floor-length gowns and bouquets of soft pink flowers with sage green foliage.

Despite the cold, the sun shone brightly, the crisp winter day just the ticket for a beautiful outdoor ceremony, performed by Love in the Mountains with the rolling mountains as the backdrop. The property provided endless photography spots for the newlyweds to take a few quiet moments to let it all sink in.

The reception welcomed guests inside, warm fuzzy socks laid at each place setting as a sweet invitation for winter warmth. Trunks of warm blankets were coupled with glass jars of dried flowers and hessian table runners as a nod to the rustic country setting.

But it was the speeches, that heralded the start of something new for Emily and Paul. "Hearing Paul's speech to Emily and how excited he was to start a family with her brought a tear to my eye" remembers photographer Deb.

Ad when there is celebration there is cheese, a cheese tower by Formaggi Ocello filling tummies as guests danced the night away under the cold winter moon.
